It was a day of contrasts, from the tranquil greenery of the oasis to the towering, sun-baked cliffs of the gorge, each offering a unique perspective on the beauty and resilience of this region. It’s amazing how much history and natural wonder can be packed into a single day. I’m eager to share the highlights of this unforgettable experience.

Our day began with a traditional Moroccan breakfast at Dar Ait Bara Chez Habitant. The drive there was a treat in itself, watching the sunrise paint the sky with hues of orange and pink. Looking ahead to tomorrow, we plan to visit Source Aghbalou et les Gorges de Toudgha and Amerdoul nouajerge. I’m particularly excited to see the Source Aghbalou, a natural spring that is said to have healing properties. Lena is keen to explore Amerdoul nouajerge, a traditional Berber village known for its stunning architecture and panoramic views. And perhaps we'll end the day at Cafe Perla.

Before heading back to our accommodation, we made a final stop at a local café for one last cup of mint tea. Sipping the sweet, fragrant brew, we watched as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the Todra Gorge. It was a perfect end to a perfect day, a reminder of the simple pleasures in life – good company, beautiful scenery, and the taste of authentic Moroccan tea.
