Fatimata grew up in Houndé, Burkina Faso, surrounded by a large extended family. Her upbringing instilled in her a deep appreciation for community and a strong connection to her cultural heritage. After excelling in her studies, she pursued a degree in engineering, driven by a desire to contribute to sustainable development in her country. A scholarship brought her to the Netherlands, where she met her husband, Jan. While she is passionate about her career as a renewable energy consultant in Delft, she also feels a strong pull to share her love for travel and her Burkinabé roots through her blog on Evendo.
