The crisp mountain air filled my lungs as I set out from Imlil this morning, eager to delve deeper into the heart of Berber culture and the natural beauty that cradles it. It was a moderate hike, perfect for soaking in the scenery without being too strenuous. I passed through small Berber villages, each a cluster of earthen homes clinging to the hillside. The locals were incredibly welcoming, their smiles as warm as the midday sun. I couldn't help but feel a sense of peace and serenity wash over me as I observed their simple way of life, so different from the hustle and bustle of Dublin.

It was a great opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and learn more about the region.

Sipping on my drink, I reflected on the day's adventures, feeling grateful for the opportunity to experience such a unique and captivating culture.

Dinner tonight was at Restaurant Terrase d'Imlil. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was lively and convivial. I struck up a conversation with a local Berber man, who shared stories of his life and his family. It was a humbling experience, a reminder of the importance of human connection and understanding. As I savoured my final bite, I felt a sense of contentment wash over me, knowing that I had truly immersed myself in the heart of Imlil.

Tomorrow, I'm planning to join one of the Mount Toubkal Small Group Tours. The plan is to ascend part of the way up, to get some spectacular views. I'm looking forward to seeing the Berber women selling carpets too. It promises to be another day filled with adventure and discovery, and I can't wait to see what awaits me.

Back at my guesthouse, I journaled about the day, recording every detail, every scent, and every smile.
