After a smooth journey from Berlin to Ho Chi Minh City and then a domestic flight, we've finally arrived in the Con Dao Islands! The anticipation has been building, and today, on our second day, we set out to explore some of the island's most talked-about spots. With Klara and Mateo by my side, I knew this was going to be a day filled with unforgettable moments. Let's dive into our Con Dao adventure!

Our day began with a hearty breakfast at TYNA FOOD & COFFEE. It was a delightful little spot, perfect for fueling up before a day of exploration. I opted for a strong Vietnamese coffee, while Klara enjoyed a fresh fruit smoothie, and Mateo devoured a stack of pancakes. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, a great start to our island escapade.

Next on the agenda was Hòn Tre Lớn. To get there, we took a short boat trip from the main island. The boat ride itself was an experience, with the refreshing sea breeze and stunning views of the surrounding islands. As we approached Hòn Tre Lớn, I was immediately struck by its natural beauty. The island is a haven of lush greenery and pristine beaches, a perfect spot for nature lovers like myself. We spent a few hours exploring the island, hiking through its verdant trails, and soaking in the panoramic views of the coastline. Mateo was particularly thrilled, pointing out the various birds and insects we encountered along the way. I made sure to capture every moment with my camera, knowing these memories would last a lifetime.

After our little hike, we headed to Bãi Nhát, a beach known for its unique charm. What makes Bãi Nhát special is that it's only visible for a few hours each day, during low tide. We timed our visit perfectly and were rewarded with a stunning sight. The beach was small and secluded, with crystal-clear waters and soft, golden sands. Mateo was overjoyed, splashing around in the shallow waters and building sandcastles. Klara and I took a leisurely stroll along the shore, enjoying the tranquility of the surroundings. I couldn't resist taking a dip in the refreshing sea, feeling the stress of everyday life melt away with each passing wave.

For lunch, we decided to try An Ơi Cafe & Restaurant. This place came highly recommended, and it did not disappoint. The cafe had a cozy and inviting ambiance, with lovely plants and furniture. We ordered a variety of dishes, including the brown noodle mixed with grilled vegetables and chicken topped with peanut butter sauce. The food was fresh, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. Klara was particularly impressed with their homemade peanut butter and nutella. Mateo, of course, loved the freshly baked pizza. It was the perfect midday refuel before continuing our Con Dao adventure.

As the sun began to set, we made our way to On Cloud Nine Cocktail&Bar for a pre-dinner drink. The bar had a relaxed and sophisticated vibe, with an extensive menu of cocktails and other beverages. I opted for a classic mojito, while Klara tried a local specialty. Mateo, of course, enjoyed a refreshing juice. We sipped our drinks, enjoying the stunning sunset views and reflecting on the day's adventures.

Finally, for dinner, we chose Nhà hàng Nam Dinh. This restaurant offered a taste of authentic Vietnamese cuisine, and we were eager to try it. We ordered a variety of dishes, including fresh seafood and traditional Vietnamese delicacies. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. It was the perfect way to end our day of exploration and discovery.

Before heading back to our guesthouse, we took a moment to appreciate the peacefulness of Con Dao at night. The stars were shining brightly, and the air was filled with the sounds of nature. It was a magical moment, one that I will cherish forever.

Looking ahead to tomorrow, we're planning to visit Dat Tham Beach and the Holy Cave. I've heard great things about both locations, and I'm excited to explore them with my family. We'll start our day with breakfast at Julia's Garden - Cafe and Dining, followed by a morning of beach relaxation and cave exploration. For lunch, we'll try Kwai's Bistro Con Dao, and for dinner, we'll head to Nhà hàng Thu Ba. We also plan to do some shopping at Hin Beautytips - Mỹ Phẩm, Phụ Kiện, Quần Áo, Nước Hoa Côn Đảo.

Today was an incredible day of exploration and discovery in Con Dao. From the pristine beaches of Hòn Tre Lớn and Bãi Nhát to the delicious food and vibrant nightlife, Con Dao has something for everyone. I'm grateful for the opportunity to share these experiences with my family, and I'm excited for what tomorrow holds.
