As our nine-day escapade in the Ourika Valley draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on the tapestry of experiences we've woven together. From the tranquil mornings to the bustling afternoons, each moment has been a vibrant thread in the rich fabric of this Moroccan adventure. Today, we set out to savor the last drops of this enchanting valley, knowing that we'll carry its spirit with us long after we've left its embrace.

The final day of our Moroccan escapade began with the sun casting a golden hue over the Ourika Valley. I savored the last moments of tranquility, a cup of mint tea in hand, as the valley awakened. We started our day with a hearty breakfast at Cafè Restaurant Adrar. The aroma of freshly baked bread filled the air, mingling with the sweet scent of honey and the robust fragrance of Moroccan coffee. I felt a pang of nostalgia knowing this would be our last traditional breakfast in the valley, but the excitement of the day ahead quickly overshadowed it.

Our first stop was the renowned The Carpet Source. I was eager to find a piece of Moroccan artistry to bring back home to Berlin, a tangible reminder of our journey. After much deliberation, I finally chose a beautiful Berber rug with a striking geometric pattern, a perfect addition to our living room. Hans, ever the pragmatist, made sure to haggle for a good price, a skill he seems to have picked up quickly during our travels. I could already picture it adding a touch of Moroccan warmth to our Berlin apartment.

We then ventured towards the majestic Sources Cascades Ouzoud. The journey was an adventure in itself, with winding roads offering panoramic views of the valley. The cascades plunged down several levels, creating a stunning spectacle of nature's power and beauty. We hiked down to the base of the falls, feeling the cool mist on our faces, a welcome respite from the warm June sun. The sheer scale of the waterfalls was humbling, a reminder of the raw, untamed beauty of Morocco.

The auberge was a haven of tranquility, a perfect place to relax and reflect on our adventures. Over lunch, we shared stories and laughter, reminiscing about our favorite moments from the past nine days. It was a bittersweet moment, knowing that our journey was coming to an end, but grateful for the memories we had created together.

As the day drew to a close, we returned to La Perle D'ourika-Guesthouse & Restaurant for a final dinner. The guesthouse exuded a warm, welcoming ambiance, making us feel right at home. We indulged in a feast of Moroccan delicacies, savoring each bite and relishing the flavors of the valley. The staff treated us like family, sharing stories and laughter, making our last night truly special. As I sat on the terrace, gazing at the starlit sky, I felt a profound sense of gratitude for this incredible journey.
