Today was a day of exploration and discovery, perfectly encapsulating the essence of Paros. From delving into ancient artistry to savoring the island’s gastronomic treasures, every moment was a delightful experience that I’m excited to share. The family and I set out with open hearts, ready to embrace the wonders that Paros had in store for us.

Our day began with a hearty breakfast at Chaniotis Restaurant in Parikia. The aroma of freshly baked pies and strong Greek coffee filled the air, setting a cheerful tone for our adventures. I opted for a classic cheese pie, while David enjoyed a hearty hamburger. Jasmine, ever the adventurous eater, tried a bit of both! The friendly staff and the cozy atmosphere made it a perfect start to our day.

It was a delightful change of pace, and Jasmine particularly enjoyed the pizza, declaring it the best she had ever tasted.

After lunch, we ventured into the Mesovounia Nature Reserve & Sanctuary. This hidden gem was a true paradise, a green oasis amidst the dry Cycladic landscape. The sanctuary was alive with the sounds of birds singing and bees buzzing, a testament to the dedication of those who protect this land. We wandered through the reserve, admiring the diverse flora and fauna, and feeling a sense of peace and tranquility. It was a reminder of the importance of preserving these natural spaces for future generations.

Before dinner, we strolled through Parikia, stopping at the bizarre boutique. The shop was a vibrant celebration of style and creativity, with a carefully curated collection of dresses and accessories. I found a beautiful scarf made by a local designer, a perfect memento of our trip. Jasmine, with her keen eye for fashion, helped me choose the perfect piece.

As evening approached, we made our way to Parea Cuisine Paros for dinner. This restaurant promised a taste of what is served on Sundays at a family gathering on the island.
