I learned that it was originally built in the 5th century BC, but it was later renovated in the 2nd century AD by Herodes Atticus. The stadium could seat around 6,500 spectators. Standing on the ancient track, I could almost hear the roar of the crowd and feel the energy of the games.

After a morning steeped in history, we were ready for lunch. We chose Taverna Gargadoyas, a family-run eatery known for its traditional Greek cuisine. The friendly staff welcomed us warmly, and we settled into a cozy spot with a view of the surrounding valley. Erika ordered the lamb chops, while I decided on the gyros. The portions were generous, and the flavors were authentic and satisfying. The owner was incredibly attentive, offering recommendations and making us feel like welcomed guests. It reminded me of the warm hospitality I experienced growing up in Matsumoto. We even received a complimentary dessert of fresh fruit, a sweet ending to a delicious meal.

The bartender, Nicolas, was friendly and skilled, crafting drinks with a personal touch. It was the perfect way to unwind and reflect on the day's adventures.

The weather in Delphi today was wonderful with temperatures around 20°C, perfect for exploring the ruins. The clear skies and comfortable temperatures made it an ideal day for walking and taking in the panoramic views.
