Maya was particularly fascinated by the courtyard and spent a good amount of time chasing butterflies among the flowers. I remember when I was her age back in Tiberias, I would chase butterflies in the fields near our home. It's a memory I cherish, and I'm glad Maya is creating similar memories here in Morocco.

I ended up purchasing the tagine pot, as well as a small leather pouch for Liam and a beaded bracelet for Maya. I always try to buy local when we travel; it's a way of giving back to the community and ensuring that these traditional crafts continue to thrive. I also picked up a beautiful rug.
