Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving to Oak Mountain State Park, head towards I-65 S. From anywhere in Alabama, use your GPS or map app to navigate to the nearest access point for I-65 S. Once on I-65 S, take exit 246 toward US-31 S/Pelham. Merge onto US-31 S and continue for about 1 mile. Turn left onto Terrace Drive. Follow the road for about half a mile, and you will find the entrance to Oak Mountain State Park on your left at 200 Terrace Dr, Pelham, AL 35124. Parking fees may apply, so be prepared to pay a nominal fee upon entry.

  For those utilizing public transportation, you can take the Greyhound bus to Birmingham, AL, which is the nearest major city. Once in Birmingham, use local public transportation services such as the MAX Transit bus system. You will need to take bus route 20 towards the Pelham area. Get off at the closest stop to the park, which is near US-31 S. From there, you may need to walk approximately 1 mile to reach the park entrance at 200 Terrace Dr, Pelham, AL 35124.
