From the Avondale business district along 41st Street South, Avondale Park is easily accessible on foot. Head south on 41st Street South until you reach 5th Avenue South. The main entrance to the park will be on your left. The walk is generally flat and takes about 5-10 minutes. No costs involved.

MAX Transit bus routes 25 and 100 stop near Avondale Park. From downtown Birmingham, take either bus and alight at the 3rd Ave S and 39th St S stop. From there, it's a short 2-minute walk to the park entrance. A single ride fare is $1.25.
