Driving
Bamahenge is located near Barber Marina in Elberta, Alabama. From US Highway 98, turn south onto County Road 95. After five miles, turn right onto Fish Trap Road. Drive a half-mile and turn left at the Barber Marina sign [7]. Follow Barber Parkway for about a mile; Bamahenge will be on the right, with a small gravel parking lot marking the trailhead [4, 8]. The path to the monument is a short, 200-yard walk into the woods [4, 5, 8]. Parking is free [7].
Taxi/Ride-Share
If arriving from the Gulf Shores or Pensacola area, taxi and ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft are available [19, 20, 22]. A taxi from Elberta to Pensacola costs $70 - $90 [17, 18]. From the Barber Marina entrance, it's a short walk to Bamahenge [5, 8]. Confirm the final fare and drop-off location (Barber Parkway near the Barber Marina entrance) with your driver before starting your trip. UberX from The Wharf to Elberta is approximately $31 [19].
