Discover more about Superman: Ultimate Flight

Superman: Ultimate Flight at Six Flags Over Georgia offers riders the chance to experience the thrill of flying like the Man of Steel [10, 14]. This Bolliger & Mabillard-designed flying coaster lifts you high above the park, then tilts you forward into a prone position, suspending you face-down as you navigate the twisting track [10]. The ride is known for its signature pretzel loop, a massive inversion that subjects riders to intense G-forces [10, 11]. The layout also features a 270-degree helix and a heartline roll, adding to the overall excitement [14]. Originally, the ride featured blue supports, red tracks, and yellow rails, but it was later repainted with red tracks and rails [18]. Opened on April 6, 2002, Superman: Ultimate Flight replaced the Viper roller coaster [10]. It was the first flying coaster to feature a pretzel loop [10]. Similar versions were later installed at other Six Flags parks [11, 14]. This design has been used at two other Six Flags parks, which are Six Flags Great America and Six Flags Great Adventure [10].
