Driving
From Gulf Shores, head east on Highway 182 (East Beach Boulevard). Continue for approximately 6 miles until you reach the Gulf State Park Beach Pavilion. Parking is available for $10 per day. Alternatively, an annual parking pass can be purchased for $100 at the Park Headquarters. Note that parking pay stations do not give change.
Walking
If you are staying at The Lodge at Gulf State Park, access to the Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail is just steps away. From there, you can easily walk to various park attractions, including the beach, nature center, and Lake Shelby. Be sure to bring comfortable shoes and plenty of water.
Public Transport
While public transportation directly to Gulf State Park is limited, the Baldwin County Connector offers routes within Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. Check their schedules for the closest drop-off point and then proceed to the park entrance. From there, you can use the park's free bike share program to explore the area. The first three hours are free; download the Bloom Bike Share App to participate.
