Discover more about Dinosaurs In The Woods -- Brontosaurus

Dinosaurs In The Woods is a whimsical roadside attraction located near Barber Marina in Elberta, Alabama. Created by artist Mark Cline for Alabama billionaire George Barber in 1991, the collection features several fiberglass dinosaur sculptures placed throughout the wooded area. The Brontosaurus is one of the four dinosaurs that currently reside in the woods. Originally, Barber commissioned Cline to create seven dinosaur statues. After the initial installation, Barber decided the dinosaurs needed glass eyes, so Cline returned to give them a more realistic look. This collaboration led to a friendship and further artistic endeavors on Barber's property, including Bamahenge and The Lady in the Bay. Today, visitors can explore Barber Parkway to find the dinosaur sculptures scattered along the road. The Brontosaurus is located down a short dirt path, partially hidden by trees, adding to the sense of discovery. The other dinosaurs include a T-Rex, Triceratops and Stegosaurus.
