Driving
From Lineville, head north on AL-49 N for approximately 30 minutes. Look for signs indicating the turn-off to Cheaha Road (County Road 42). Follow Cheaha Road west for about 4 miles to the Lake Chinnabee Recreation Area (Forest Road 646) on the left. After turning left onto Forest Road 646, travel 2 miles to the parking lot. From the Lake Chinnabee Recreation Area parking lot, follow the Chinnabee Silent Trail upstream for approximately half a mile to reach Devil's Den Falls. A $3 parking permit is required at the Lake Chinnabee Recreation Area. Bring exact change as it's an honor system.
Hiking
If already hiking within Talladega National Forest, access Devil's Den Falls via the Chinnabee Silent Trail from Lake Chinnabee Recreation Area. Follow the marked trail signs leading to the falls, a moderate hike of about 0.5 miles (800 meters). Stay left at any forks in the trail to reach the falls. Be aware that the trail is not always clearly marked with signs specifically for Devil's Den Falls. A $3 day-use fee may be required for parking at Lake Chinnabee.
