The preserve is located on an Appalachian foothill named UNTAMED Mountain and the drive to the parking area is a rustic dirt and gravel road. Parking is available on-site and is free.

    While there is public transportation in Attalla, it is limited. The Gadsden Trolley's DART Paratransit service provides transportation in Attalla, but it's best to call in advance to schedule a ride. The cost is $1.50 each way for non-ADA eligible adults and $0.75 each way for ADA eligible individuals. Bus services are available from Attalla to other cities, with connecting options potentially available to Gadsden. From Gadsden, you would need to take a taxi or rideshare to the preserve.
