Built in 1855 by Judge John Bragg, this 13,000-square-foot Greek Revival mansion was designed to be the center of Mobile's lively social season. The mansion boasts double parlors, a circular staircase, and rooms built on a grand scale, reflecting a time when hospitality was a way of life. Throughout its history, the Bragg-Mitchell Mansion has been owned by several prominent families. The Bragg family enjoyed the home until 1880, followed by the Pratts, Uphams, Davis', and Wingates.
