Glenn Sebastian Nature Trail: A University Oasis

The Glenn Sebastian Nature Trail provides a refreshing escape into nature right on the University of South Alabama's campus in Mobile. Named in honor of Dr. Glenn Sebastian, a beloved geography professor, the trail system encompasses over three miles of winding paths through 95 acres of native pine and oak woodlands. The trail consists of a series of color-coded loops, allowing visitors to choose their own adventure. The yellow loop is approximately 1 mile, blue is 1.5 miles, white is 2 miles, and the red loop covers a 5K distance. The well-maintained trails range from single to double track, with generally easy terrain suitable for various fitness levels. As you explore the trail, you'll find yourself immersed in a peaceful wooded environment. The trail is located in the headwaters of Three Mile Creek, and a boardwalk allows you to walk over the creek.
