    Siddique Nature Park is located at 3600 Waverly Pkwy, Opelika, AL 36801. From the intersection of U.S. Highway 280 and CR 97 (Grand National Parkway), travel East on U.S Highway 280 for 0.6 miles and turn left onto Waverly Parkway. Travel 0.5 miles to the entrance of the park on the left. Parking is available at the trailhead.

    If you are near the Creekline Trail, you can walk along Waverly Parkway to access Siddique Nature Park. From the Creekline Trail pavilion, cross Waverly Parkway to reach the park entrance. Be cautious when crossing the road. The entrance to the Nature Park leads to over two miles of heavily wooded trails.

Siddique Nature Park, formerly known as the Wood Duck Heritage Preserve, offers a unique natural escape in Opelika, Alabama. This 85-acre park was created from a repurposed 78-acre wastewater lagoon owned by the city, plus a donation of 7 acres of land. The park is now a thriving habitat for a significant population of wood ducks and various waterfowl. The park boasts over two miles of well-marked, heavily wooded trails that meander through diverse habitats, including hardwood and pine forests, swamps, and ponds. These trails lead to two viewing blinds strategically placed overlooking the lagoon, providing excellent opportunities for birdwatching. Over 170 species of birds have been identified in the park, making it a designated site on the Alabama Birding Trail and a popular destination for birders.
