Driving
From Lineville, head north on AL-49 N for approximately 30 minutes. Look for signs indicating the turn-off to Cheaha Road (County Road 42). Follow Cheaha Road west for about 4 miles to the Lake Chinnabee Recreation Area (Forest Road 646) on the left. After turning left onto Forest Road 646, travel 2 miles to the parking lot. From the Lake Chinnabee Recreation Area parking lot, follow the Chinnabee Silent Trail upstream for approximately half a mile to reach Devil's Den Falls. A $3 parking permit is required at the Lake Chinnabee Recreation Area, payable with exact change at the self-service station.
Hiking
If already hiking within Talladega National Forest, access Devil's Den Falls via the Chinnabee Silent Trail from Lake Chinnabee Recreation Area. Follow the Chinnabee Silent Trail upstream for approximately half a mile (800 meters) to reach Devil's Den Falls. The trail is moderately challenging with some steep inclines and rocky paths. A $3 parking fee is required at the Lake Chinnabee Recreation Area if starting there.
