Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from downtown Montgomery. Head east on Dexter Avenue towards the Alabama State Capitol. Continue straight onto the I-85 S ramp. Merge onto I-85 S and take exit 1A for US-231 S towards Troy. After about 3 miles, take exit 1C for US-80 W. Follow the signs for Montgomery Riverfront and merge onto Riverfront Boulevard. Continue straight until you reach 1906 Riverfront Tunnel. There is free parking available nearby.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, first check the Montgomery Area Transit System (MATS) for the latest bus routes. You can take Bus Line 1 towards the Riverfront and get off at the Riverfront station. From there, walk east along the Riverfront until you reach 1906 Riverfront Tunnel. The total fare is approximately $1.50 per ride.

• Walking

  For those already in the River Region and wanting to walk, head to the Riverfront Park area. Once you are at the park, follow the path along the river. The observation tower is located at 1906 Riverfront Tunnel, which should be easily visible as you approach the waterfront.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from a local rental service in Montgomery. Head towards Riverfront Park and follow the designated bike paths along the riverfront. It's a scenic route, and the observation tower at 1906 Riverfront Tunnel is a popular destination for cyclists.
