Getting There

  • Driving

    From downtown Muscle Shoals, head east on E 2nd St toward N Montgomery Ave. Turn left onto N Montgomery Ave and continue straight until you reach US-72. Follow the bike lanes along US-72 W for about 3 miles. Then, turn left onto AL-133 S and continue for about 2 miles. Finally, turn left onto Rock Pile Rd and ride for about 1 mile to reach the Wilson Dam Waterfall. Ample parking is available near the waterfall at 1062 Rock Pile Rd, Muscle Shoals, AL 35661. Parking is free.

  • Walking

    If starting from the Wilson Dam Visitor Center, head west on Reservation Road towards the TVA's Rockpile Recreation Area. Follow the road to the parking area near the playground. From there, walk through the open gate towards the dam (westward) for about 1/4 mile. The waterfall will be on the right, near the base of the dam. Note that the trail from the Visitor Center may not be direct, so using Rockpile Recreation Area as a starting point is recommended.
