Getting There

• Car

  From any location within Sipsey Wilderness, head east towards US-278. Follow the road for approximately 10 miles. You will pass through scenic areas of the wilderness. Once you reach US-278, turn left (east) and continue for about 1 mile. Looney’s Amphitheater Complex and Cultural Center will be on your right at 22400 US-278, Double Springs, AL 35553. Look for the sign indicating the entrance.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, the nearest bus stop is located in Double Springs. You will need to first take a bus to Double Springs from a nearby town. After arriving at the Double Springs bus station, you can either walk or take a taxi. The amphitheater is about 3 miles from the bus station. If walking, head south on AL-195, then turn left onto US-278 and continue until you reach your destination at 22400 US-278. Note that walking this distance may take approximately 1 hour.

• Taxi/Ride-sharing

  For a more direct route, consider using a taxi or ride-sharing service like Uber or Lyft. Simply request a ride to 22400 US-278, Double Springs, AL 35553. This option is especially convenient if you're traveling with a group or have luggage.
