If you're driving from the Wiregrass Region, you will want to head toward Gulf Shores, Alabama. Start on US-231 N from your location. Continue on US-231 N until you reach I-10 W. Merge onto I-10 W and follow the signs toward Mobile. Take exit 44 for AL-59 S toward Gulf Shores. Follow AL-59 S for approximately 39 miles until you reach Gulf Shores. Once you are in Gulf Shores, turn left onto Oak Rd E. The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo will be on your right at 20499 Oak Rd E. Parking is available on-site, and there may be a parking fee, so please check the zoo's website for the latest details.

Public transportation options are limited in the Wiregrass Region. However, you can take a Greyhound bus to Mobile, AL. From there, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service, like Uber or Lyft, to take you to Gulf Shores, which is approximately 45 miles away. Make sure to check the Greyhound schedule in advance and allow for extra travel time as it may take several hours to reach your destination due to the transfer.
