The King Mosque (Xhamia Mbret), also known as the Sultan Bayezid Mosque, stands as a historical Ottoman-era mosque in Elbasan, Albania. The King Mosque is located on Rruga Xhaferr Kongoli within the Elbasan Castle, making it easily accessible on foot from most central locations in Elbasan. From the city center, walk along Aqif Pasha Boulevard towards the old town. Enter through the Bazaar Gate and continue along Xhaferr Kongoli Street; the mosque will be on your right after approximately 100 meters. There are no specific costs associated with walking to the mosque.
Public Transport
Elbasan has a public transportation system consisting of buses and minibuses. From the main bus station, located a short walk from the city center, take a local bus heading towards the city center. Get off near the city center and walk towards Elbasan Castle and follow walking directions. A single bus fare costs approximately 100 Lek.
