Getting There

From the center of Himarë, follow the main road (SH8) north for approximately 2.5 kilometers. The walk is uphill and takes around 30-45 minutes. Look for signs indicating 'Kalaja e Himarës'. The castle entrance is near the Greek-Orthodox Church Of All Saints. Save your energy for exploring the castle itself, as the walk is steep.

To the west, you can see Livadhi Beach and the Ionian Sea, with Corfu and other islands on the horizon. To the south lies the modern part of Himarë. The Visha and Kole Midhari Canyons and the Ceraunian Mountains can be seen on the other sides.
