Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Theth, follow the river south. Cross the small red bridge. Continue along the marked trail for approximately 45 minutes. The last part of the trail is a bit steep. There is no cost to access the waterfall.

Grunas Waterfall, a natural monument since 2002, is one of the most amazing natural attractions within Thethi National Park. The waterfall is fed by the snow-capped peaks of the Accursed Mountains. The water falls from a height of 25-30 meters into an emerald pool.The hike to Grunas Waterfall is a rewarding experience in itself. Starting from Theth, the trail leads along the river, crossing a small red bridge. The path then gradually ascends, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes. Along the way, you'll find a cozy cafe, Kunora e Grunasit, perfect for a break.At the base of the waterfall, the emerald waters invite you to cool off. The water temperature can be quite cold, with a maximum of 8 degrees Celsius. On sunny days, the mist creates a picturesque rainbow at the bottom of the falls.
