The Folklore Museum of Acharavi, inaugurated in October 2008, stands as a testament to the dedication of Spyros Vlachos, who spent over 25 years collecting and preserving the cultural heritage of Northern Corfu. Located opposite the Roman Baths of Acharavi, the museum is housed in a 1,000 sq. m building and features two main exhibition halls. The museum's collection includes a diverse array of items that showcase Corfiot life through the ages. Visitors can view old photographs, books, and documents dating back to 1862, as well as a numismatic collection from the Ionian State period (1799-1864). Traditional local costumes from the 1800s, folk furniture, and recreations of traditional workshops, such as an olive mill, carpentry, and shoemaking, offer a glimpse into the island's past. Agricultural tools, a loom, a watermill, and ecclesiastical items further enrich the collection. Beyond the exhibition spaces, the museum also includes a conference room for educational programs, a traditional café, and a permanent exhibition of traditional products and handicrafts. The museum is wheelchair accessible.
