    To reach Megali Grava by car, drive towards Loutses village in northern Corfu. From Loutses, follow the 'CAVE' signs. Drive from the direction of Loutses or Anapaftiria, as this is the only paved road. Once you reach the end of the paved road, a marked path leads to the cave entrance after a steep, 10-minute descent. Parking is available near the end of the paved road. There are no parking fees.

    From Corfu Town, take a Green Bus (Corfu City Bus) to Loutses. Check the Green Bus website for the most up-to-date timetable and fair information. From Loutses, follow the 'CAVE' signs. Walk along the paved road, and then take the marked path that leads to the cave entrance after a steep, 10-minute descent. A single bus ticket from Corfu Town to Loutses costs approximately €3-€5.

Megali Grava, or the Big Upper Cave, is situated at an altitude of 478 meters near the village of Loutses in northern Corfu. The cave's entrance is approximately 60 meters wide and 15 meters high, resembling a large amphitheater. The main room extends 100 meters in length, 70 meters in width, and 60 meters in height, boasting a flat surface and a roof covered in remarkable geological formations. To the left of the main chamber, visitors can explore two 20-meter-long corridors with a width and height of 3 meters, showcasing impressive stalactites; one of these corridors is known as 'The white stalactites'. The cave has been studied since 1969, with research revealing ceramic pieces and a Byzantine coin. Local folklore tells tales of a deep underground water channel connecting Megali Grava with Mikri Grava Loutson cave, with stories of sheep disappearing in one cave and reappearing in the other. However, scientific evidence has yet to confirm this connection. Visiting Megali Grava offers a sense of isolation and serenity, making it a memorable experience for nature lovers and adventure seekers.
