Xhamia e Plumbit, also known as the Lead Mosque, is a significant cultural and historical landmark in Shkodër, Albania. Constructed between 1773 and 1774 by Mehmet Pasha Bushati, the mosque exemplifies Ottoman architectural influence in the region. Its name derives from the lead plates that originally covered its domes. The mosque's design features a grand courtyard with wide columns, a characteristic that distinguishes it from other mosques in Albania. Inside, visitors can admire elegant Islamic motifs and detailed calligraphy, reflecting the artistry of the Ottoman period. The mosque has withstood wars and natural disasters, with ongoing restoration projects helping to preserve its historical charm.
