    From Kurbin, drive towards the SH1 highway and follow the signs. After approximately 10 km, turn left at the junction near Tale towards Kune. Continue for about 5 km to find signs for Kune-Vain-Tale Reserve. Parking is available in designated areas.

Kune-Vain-Tale Reserve, situated in the Lezhë County of northern Albania, is a captivating coastal nature preserve where the Drin River delta meets the Adriatic Sea. Spanning 43.93 square kilometers, the reserve encompasses Kunë Island, the Kunë-Vain lagoon, woodlands, and diverse ecosystems. Established initially as a hunting reserve in 1940 by King Zog I, it became Albania's first protected area. The current nature reserve was established in 2010.The reserve is renowned for its biodiversity, boasting around 277 plant species and 341 animal species. BirdLife International recognizes it as an Important Bird Area, with approximately 196 bird species recorded, including flamingos and the endangered Ferruginous duck. Other wildlife includes otters, jackals, and foxes.Visitors can explore the reserve's trails, observe wildlife, and enjoy the coastal scenery. Activities include birdwatching, hiking, cycling, and picnicking. The area also offers local cuisine with seafood restaurants.
