Often compared to a Gothic cathedral, this cave is characterized by its impressive size and the intricate formations of stalactites and stalagmites that have developed over thousands of years.The name 'Vali' is believed to be derived from the Albanian word 'valë,' meaning wave, inspired by the undulating topography of the Mirditë region, where ravines and steep ridges create a wave-like pattern. The cave's main chamber reaches heights of 20 to 25 meters, and the distance between its eastern and western entrances spans approximately 100 meters.
