Walking

From the center of Tirana, walk towards the National Art Gallery. Continue past the gallery towards Grand Park. Walk through the park until you reach the Artificial Lake; Three Times Black is on the lake's southern shore.

Three Times Black, inaugurated on July 25th, 2022, is a public art installation by artist Silva Agostini, commissioned by Harabel Contemporary Art Center for Manifesta 14. Situated in Tirana's Grand Park, on the southern shore of the Artificial Lake, it features three high metal bodies with triangular bases and similar volumes but different sizes. The shapes are inspired by urban architecture, creating a volumetric complex that interacts with the surrounding space. These spinning objects invite passersby to engage, with humidity and temperature changes developing pictorial patterns on their surfaces. The metal surfaces blend with the park's landscape. Each sculpture is movable, encouraging interaction and free movement around its axis. More than just an art installation, Three Times Black has become a cultural hub. Locals and tourists gather to enjoy expertly brewed coffee in a relaxed atmosphere. The artistic décor, featuring local art, reflects Albania's rich heritage.
