The Cloud Travel Guide

Located in front of the National Gallery of Arts, The Cloud is a captivating art installation designed by Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto. Originally created for the Serpentine Gallery in London in 2013, it was moved to Tirana in 2016 and has since become a symbol of the city's modern identity.The Cloud, or 'Reja' in Albanian, is a semi-transparent pavilion constructed from a network of white steel bars. Its cloud-like form provides a unique visual experience, blending harmoniously with the surrounding landscape. The structure covers 350 square meters and reaches a height of 7 meters, offering visitors a sheltered yet open space to enjoy.The installation serves as a flexible, multi-purpose social space, hosting various cultural events and exhibitions. Stepped terraces provide seating areas, inviting visitors to relax and engage with the art. During the summer evenings, The Cloud transforms into a vibrant stage for musicians and theater performances.More than just an art piece, The Cloud embodies Tirana's journey towards modernization while respecting its rich heritage.
