From the bazaar, follow the well-labeled signs through the stone lanes leading towards the restored pale yellow exterior of the museum. The museum is located a convenient walking distance below Krujë Castle itself in the center of Krujë's old upper bazaar quarter. No costs are associated with walking.

    From Tirana, take a bus (or furgon) from the Regional Bus Terminal to Kruja. The bus ticket costs 150 Lek (about €1.50). From the Kruja bus station, it is a short walk to the Kruja Castle and the Ethnographic Museum. Follow the signs towards the castle and bazaar. The museum is located within the castle complex.

  • Taxi

    From Tirana International Airport, a taxi to Kruja costs approximately 22 euros. The journey takes around 45-60 minutes. Once in Kruja, ask the driver to take you to the Old Bazaar or Kruja Castle; the museum is located within the castle complex and is easily accessible on foot from either location. Within Kruja, a 5km taxi ride will cost about 950 ALL.

    If driving from Tirana, take the highway in the direction of Durres (SH2) and exit at Vore. From Vore, the SH52 leads through Fushe-Kruje and then to Kruja. Be aware that the road up to Kruja is narrow and winding. Once in Kruja, follow signs to the castle and bazaar. Several parking lots are available near the castle and Old Bazaar. Parking costs approximately €5 for cars for up to 24 hours. Hysen Parking is located near the Old Bazaar and the Castle.

The elegance of the home is well illustrated with walls filled with frescoes, intricately carved woodwork, colorfully painted furniture and a tiny Turkish bath (hammam).
