Getting There

    If you're traveling by car from Northern Albania, start your journey on the SH1 road heading south towards Durrës. Make your way to the town of Kukës and follow the road signs to Tirana. After reaching Tirana, continue on the SH2 road which leads directly to Durrës. The total distance is approximately 140 km and will take about 2.5 to 3 hours depending on traffic. As you approach Durrës, look for signs indicating the beach area. Parking is available near the beach, but it can be crowded during peak season, so arrive early.

  • Public Transportation - Bus

    For those using public transportation, first, make your way to the nearest bus station in Northern Albania. Buses frequently depart from cities such as Shkodra or Kukës to Tirana. Once in Tirana, locate the 'Tirana to Durrës' bus station (it is usually near the central bus station). Buses to Durrës leave regularly throughout the day and the fare is typically around 300 ALL (about $3). The bus ride will take about 1 hour. Once you arrive in Durrës, you will need to walk or take a taxi to the Beach of Durrës, which is roughly a 15-minute walk from the bus station.
