    From Berat city center, start at the suspension bridge and follow the road (Rruga Mihal Komena) uphill towards the castle entrance. The walk is approximately 1 km and takes about 15-20 minutes. Note that the cobblestone path can be steep and uneven, so wear comfortable shoes. Alternatively, a shortcut via a steep zig-zagging climb is available halfway up the road. There is no cost for walking.

    From Berat city center, follow the signs towards Berat Castle. The drive to the castle entrance takes about 5 minutes. There is a small free parking lot near the castle, but it fills up quickly, especially during peak season and weekends. Parking is free. Be aware that the road to the castle is steep.
