Walking
Start your journey from the center of Pogradec, specifically from the main square near the statue of 'Mother Teresa'. Head south on the main street, Boulevard Republika, towards the lakeside promenade. Continue walking along the promenade, enjoying the scenic views of Lake Ohrid. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will reach the border crossing to North Macedonia. Make sure to have your passport ready for inspection. Once you cross the border, continue walking straight, following signs for Ohrid. You will eventually enter the city of Ohrid.

Once you are in Ohrid, head towards the old town area. You can follow the main road, which is called 'Ilindenska'. After about 1 kilometer, you will reach the Ohrid city center, known for its charming streets and historical sites. Keep walking until you reach 'Kostandin' street and take a left. Continue up the hill until you find yourself in the Varosh area, characterized by its cobblestone streets and traditional architecture. The Old Town of Ohrid is a short walk from here.

From the center of Pogradec, look for a local bus heading towards the border crossing. Buses typically leave from the main bus station. Ride the bus until you reach the border. After crossing the border, you can catch a minibus from the border stop heading to Ohrid. The minibuses are frequent and will drop you off at the main bus station in Ohrid. From there, follow the walking directions provided above to reach Varosh - Old Town of Ohrid.
