Getting There

  • Public Transport

    From Tirana or Shkoder, take a minibus to Koman. The minibus from Tirana to Koman costs approximately 15 euros. From Shkoder, the minibus to Koman leaves before 7:00 am from Rozafa Hotel. Then, take the ferry across Lake Koman to Fierze for 7 euros. The ferry journey is about 3 hours. From Fierze, take another minibus to Valbona for approximately 7 euros. The minibus ride from Fierze to Valbona takes 45 minutes to 1 hour. The whole journey from Tirana to Valbona costs about 30 euros.

  • Car

    Driving from Puka, head southeast on SH21 for about 25 kilometers. After reaching the junction near Bajram Curri, take the left onto SH24. Continue on SH24 for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the Valbona Valley National Park entrance. Expect to drive for at least three and a half hours from Tirana to Koman due to the terrible road in the final stretch. The price per vehicle on the ferry is around 25 euros depending on its size.
