    From Saranda, the most common way to reach Butrint is by bus. Buses depart approximately every 30 minutes from the bus stop near Friendship Park. The journey takes around 30-45 minutes and costs 200 Lek. The bus passes through Ksamil before arriving at Butrint. Pay the conductor on board.

  • Taxi

    Taxis are available in Saranda and Ksamil. A taxi from Ksamil to Butrint costs around 700-1500 Lek. A taxi from Saranda to Butrint should cost around 3000-5000 Lek. Agree on the price before starting the journey. The ride takes approximately 25-30 minutes.

  • Car

    If driving, head south from Ksamil on the main road. There is a large car park near the entry gate. Parking is free, but can get full during peak season. The drive from Saranda takes approximately 30 minutes. Car rentals in Saranda start at approximately €30 per day.
