    Skënduli House is located in the old town of Gjirokastër. From the main square (Qafa e Pazarit), walk towards the old bazaar area. Follow the signs leading to Rruga Palorto. The walk is uphill and takes about 15-20 minutes. Enjoy the views of the historic architecture along the way. There are no costs associated with walking.

The Skënduli family owned the house for generations, with the exception of a few years during the communist period when the government took it over; it has since been returned to the family. As you traverse its beautifully preserved rooms, adorned with intricate woodwork and traditional furnishings, you will gain a profound appreciation for the lifestyle of the inhabitants who once called this place home. Each room tells a story, from the grand living areas to the intimate bedrooms, allowing you to visualize the daily lives of the families who lived here. One room was used only for wedding ceremonies and has 15 stained glass windows. In addition to its architectural significance, Skënduli House houses a collection of artifacts that reflect the customs and traditions of the era.
