From Tirana, take a bus from the Southeast Bus Station towards Elbasan and ask to be dropped off in Petrelë. Buses run frequently. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. From the Petrelë bus stop, walk along Rruga Petreles for about 1 kilometer uphill to reach the castle. The bus fare is around 50-100 ALL.
Taxi
A taxi from Tirana to Petrela Castle offers a direct and convenient option. The ride typically takes 20-25 minutes. Negotiate the fare beforehand, expect to pay approximately 1500-2000 ALL. The taxi will drop you off near the castle entrance.
Car
If driving from Tirana, head south on the SH2 road. Continue for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach Petrelë. Look for Rruga Petreles, where you will find the entrance to Petrela Castle. Parking is available near the castle, with a small fee depending on the time of your visit, typically around 200 ALL per hour.
