If you are near the Jardin d'Essai in Algiers, you can take a scenic walk to Ben Aknoun Forest. Head east along the Avenue du 1er Novembre until you reach Boulevard de la République. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenue du Colonel Lotfi. Turn right and walk towards the Ben Aknoun area. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions to the forest. The walk is approximately 5 kilometers and takes about 1 hour.
