Walking
From the Place des Martyrs in central Algiers, walk along Rue Didouche Mourad. Continue until you reach Rue de la Liberté, then turn right. Head south to the tram station at Place du 1er Mai. From there, walk straight down Rue des Frères Menaï until you reach the intersection with Rue des 1er Mai. Turn left and walk uphill; the cathedral will be visible on the right.
Public Transport
From a central tram station like Place des Martyrs, take the tram towards El Madania. Get off at the 'El Madania' stop. Head south on Rue des Frères Menaï, continue to Rue des 1er Mai, then turn left. Walk uphill to the Sacred Heart Cathedral on your right. A single tram fare costs approximately 40 DZD.
Taxi
