Public Transport
To reach Djebel Chélia via public transport, take a bus or shared taxi from Khenchela to Bouhmama. Buses run frequently, and the journey takes approximately 45 minutes. From Bouhmama, you can either walk to the Djebel Chélia trailhead (about 8 kilometers away) or hire a local taxi. A taxi ride should cost around 500 DZD. The bus fare from Khenchela to Bouhmama is typically around 200 DZD.
Car
If traveling by car from Khenchela, head southwest on N77 towards Bouhmama. Continue on N77 for about 30 kilometers until you reach Bouhmama. From Bouhmama, follow signs or use GPS to navigate to the Djebel Chélia trailhead, located approximately 8 kilometers from the town center. The last few kilometers may be on a less maintained road, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. There is a small parking area at the base of Djebel Chélia.
