The palace's walls are adorned with nearly 47,000 faience tiles, showcasing 167 different types originating from Tunisia, Italy, Marseille, Syria, and Holland. Frescoes, covering approximately 2,000 square meters, are a major attraction, exceptional in Algeria and North Africa.Visitors can explore the grand reception halls and private quarters, gaining insight into the lifestyle of the Beys. The palace also features lush gardens, providing a serene escape from the bustling city. The palace served as a hospital for French troops and underwent modifications, hosting figures like Horace Vernet and Guy de Maupassant. In 2009, after restoration, the palace opened to the public as a museum of arts and popular traditions.
