Monument aux Morts: A Constantine Landmark

The Monument aux Morts, also known as the Monument to the Dead, is a poignant landmark in Constantine, Algeria, dedicated to the Algerian soldiers who lost their lives during World War I. At the top of the arch is a statue of Victory, created by sculptor Ebstein, which is a reproduction of a Roman statue discovered in the Casbah of Constantine. The monument also features bronze plaques with the names of over 800 soldiers from Constantine who died during the war.
