From Martyrs' Square (Place des Martyrs), head north into the Casbah. Follow Rue Sidi M'Hamed Ben Aknoun, then turn right onto Rue Bab Azzoun. Continue onto Rue de la Marine, then turn left onto Rue Saadi et Mokhtar Ben Hafidh. The Great Mosque will be on your right. Walking through the Casbah offers a glimpse into its historic architecture and vibrant atmosphere. No costs are associated with walking.

From the city center, take the Algiers Metro to Tafourah-Grande Poste station. From there, walk north towards the Casbah, following the directions as described for walking.
