    Car

    If driving from Algiers, take the N5 highway towards Bouira. Once in Bouira, switch to the N30 road heading towards El Asnam, following signs for Tikjda. The journey from Algiers to Tikjda is approximately 133 km and takes around 1.5 to 2 hours. Ensure you have enough fuel, as gas stations may be limited closer to Tikjda. Parking near the resort is limited.

    To reach Tikjda via public transport, take a bus or shared taxi from Algiers to Bouira. Buses leave regularly from Algiers. From Bouira, take a local taxi or shared taxi directly to Tikjda National Park. The taxi ride from Bouira to Tikjda takes about 30 minutes and costs around 500 DZD. Confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.

    From Kabylia, you can hire a taxi from nearby towns to Tikjda. A taxi from Tizi Ouzou to Tikjda costs around 1000-1500 DZD. Negotiate the fare beforehand. From the airport Soummam – Abane Ramdane Airport (BJA) to Tikjda will cost approximately $55–70.

    Tikjda, a charming mountain resort in northern Algeria, is a haven for both winter sports enthusiasts and nature lovers. Located in the heart of the Djurdjura Mountains within the Djurdjura National Park, Tikjda sits at an altitude of 1,600 meters, offering breathtaking views and a serene environment. Once plagued by unrest, Tikjda has transformed into a peaceful destination where visitors can enjoy the tranquility and natural beauty of the Kabylie region. In winter, Tikjda becomes Algeria's premier ski destination, offering skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing. While the facilities are more basic than top European resorts, the snowfall is reliable, the scenery is spectacular, and the atmosphere is welcoming. The resort features ski trails for various skill levels, including a unique trail that crosses a thousand-year-old cedar forest. An automatic snowmaking system ensures a snow layer of at least 60 cm from December to March. During the summer months, Tikjda transforms into a hiking paradise. Numerous trails wind through cedar forests, offering opportunities for rock climbing and mountain biking. Visitors can explore nearby attractions such as Point De Vue Du Djurdjura and Gouffre de l'Akouker, where, on clear days, the Mediterranean Sea and Kabylia are visible. The glacier of Takouatz Guerissene and the lake of Goulmin are also nearby. Tikjda also serves as a training center for athletes, including footballers and martial artists.
