Musée Bordj Moussa is a historical landmark in Béjaïa, Algeria, offering visitors a glimpse into the region's rich past. Originally constructed by the Spanish in the 16th century on the ruins of the Palace of the Star, it was seized by the Ottomans in 1555 and renamed Bordj Moussa in honor of Moussa, a local hero. The fort later served as a prison during the French colonization before being transformed into a museum in 1989. The museum's collection includes prehistoric tools, Roman stelae, ceramics from the Hammadid period, and 19th-century jewelry and pottery. Visitors can also admire paintings by Émile Aubrey and sculptures such as Camille Claudel's "Néo-BiD".
